On June 1, 2023, electronic registration for studies for the new academic year 2023/2024 was launched at the University of Zielona Góra. The rules and the recruitment calendar were discussed at a press conference by dr hab. Barbara Literska, prof. UZ - vice-rector for student affairs, and the new fields of studies were presented by: dr hab. inż. Sylwia Myszograj, prof. UZ (smart city systems), dr Ewa Skorupka (sport), dr Arkadiusz Tyda (international political relations) and mgr Grażyna Milewska-Wilk (obstetrics).
The 12 faculties of the University of Zielona Góra will offer 68 fields of study in the new academic year, with a total of 6,214 places, of which 4,009 places in full-time studies, including:
- first-cycle degree studies - 2238 places,
- uniform master's degree studies - 545 places,
- second-cycle degree studies - 1226 places.
Traditionally, our University's offer includes 40 plus studies - in 7 fields of first-cycle degree studies and 6 fields of second-cycle degree studies, as well as studies conducted in English. In the new academic year, the English curriculum will be implemented in 9 fields of study - including 5 fields of first-cycle degree and 8 fields of second-cycle degree studies.
As every year, in reaction to the changing labor market, in the new academic year 9 new fields of studies are available at UZ. These are:
1. smart city systems – first-cycle degree full-time and part-time studies,
2. aeronautical engineering – second-cycle degree full-time studies,
3. materials engineering and recycling* – first-cycle degree full-time and part-time studies – the field of study will be launched after obtaining the consent of the Ministry of Education and Science,
4. international political relations – first-cycle degree full-time studies,
5. obstetrics – first-cycle degree full-time studies,
6. sport – first-cycle degree full-time and part-time studies,
and thenew fields of studies conducted in English:
7. astronomy – first-cycle degree full-time studies,
8. economy – second-cycle degree full-time studies,
9. management and production engineering – first-cycle degree full-time studies.
Recruitment calendar
- June 1, registration starts for all full-time studies: first-cycle degree and uniform master's degree studies, studies conducted in English and in the field of medicine,
- July 10, end of registration for first-cycle degree full-time studies and uniform master's degree studies,
- September 13, end of registration for full-time first- and second-cycle degree studies conducted in English,
- September 1, end of registration for part-time uniform master's degree studies in the field of medicine,
- will commence on: August 1,
- will last until: September 13.
