February 2-6, 2025, the Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2025) took place in Bangkok. Inventions from the Academic Automobile Association (AZM) of the University of Zielona Góra, submitted by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of UZ, gained recognition from the international jury and were awarded gold and silver medals at this prestigious invention fair.
This event evaluates inventions from around the world, with approximately 3,000 inventions competing in eight categories. Poland is one of several international representatives at the fair. Projects submitted by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra won gold and silver medals!

Silver Medal: Project "Hydrogen Production System, Especially for Household Needs". Authors: MSc Eng. Zdzisław Wałęga (Project Manager), Łukasz Owczarz, Amadeusz Korona, Kamil Chlebuś.
The projects have been submitted for patents and are funded under the Klakson IV-V – Lubuskie Warte Zachodu program.
This is a tremendous success for MSc Eng. Zdzisław Wałęga and the students of the AZM scientific association, as well as confirmation that Polish and Lubusz-region technological innovations are recognized worldwide.
The fair is held annually as part of Thailand Inventors’ Day, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) – a government organization under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation of Thailand. NRCT serves as a key entity supporting research, invention, innovation development, and technology transfer to both the public and private sectors.
