Absolwent Extra 2025 – May Laureates

Throughout the current academic year, we have been presenting profiles of graduates distinguished in the Absolwent Extra 2025 competition. We encourage readers to become acquainted with their achievements and to draw inspiration from the educational and professional paths they have chosen. In May, we are pleased to introduce two laureates from the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Zielona Góra: MSc Martyna Kacprzak and BA Kamila Polańska.

MSc Martyna Kacprzak is a graduate of the second-cycle degree programme in Logistics. During her studies, she was actively engaged in scientific, organizational, and social initiatives, thereby acquiring both extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the logistics sector. From the second year of her first-cycle studies, she was a member of the LogUZ Logistics Student Research Club, which became an impulse for her further academic and professional development. During the same period, she qualified for the prestigious Leanthon competition in Lean Management organized by the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, which enabled her to confront academic knowledge with practical applications.

At the same time, she was socially engaged as a volunteer for the DKMS Foundation and participated in the HELPERS’ GENERATION project, co-organizing a university-wide campaign for the registration of potential bone marrow donors. She also registered herself as a donor. During her third year of studies, she actively contributed to the organization of the Logistics Days in Zielona Góra. At that time, she also expanded her scientific achievements by co-authoring the publication “Logistics of the Future – The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Logistics,” published in the scientific monograph “Contemporary Trends in Logistics. Logistics in a Turbulent Environment.”

During her professional internships, she gained experience in the planning, organization, and supervision of production and transport processes, as well as in the implementation of environmentally sustainable solutions compliant with environmental protection regulations. She also developed her academic activity internationally by presenting the project “Circular Economy and Logistics on Farms” at the mSVOK conference in the Czech Republic. She is additionally the author of the publication “The Importance of Logistics in the Circular Economy of Agricultural Enterprises,” published in the scientific journal Acta Tecnologia.

In the final year of her studies, she undertook employment as a dispatcher in a transport and freight forwarding company specializing in the transportation of steel coils. The experience enabled her to further develop practical competencies and present her own project entitled “Efficient Transport of Steel Coils” during the international mSVOK conference in Kraków. Throughout her studies, she repeatedly received the Rector’s Scholarship for outstanding academic achievements and completed numerous professional courses and training programmes.

MSc Martyna Kacprzak is an ambitious, organized, and open-minded individual who successfully combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. She perceives logistics not merely as a field of study, but also as a personal passion. She continues to pursue professional development in areas related to process planning, innovative solutions, and interpersonal cooperation

BA Kamila Polańska is a graduate of the first-cycle degree programme in Management, which she completed with distinction. During her studies, she received the Rector’s Scholarship for the best students in recognition of her outstanding academic performance. Her studies enabled her to acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge, which she applies in running her own business activity established in 2023 under the Instagram brand Design your cover with me. Her work focuses on designing book covers, literary gadgets, and various promotional materials related to books. She also creates content and manages social media profiles actively promoting literature.

She collaborates with publishing houses, and the competencies gained through these experiences — particularly her cooperation with Black Rose Publishing House — enabled her to prepare her bachelor’s thesis entitled “Social Media as a Tool for Internet Marketing Management on the Example of Black Rose Publishing House.” During her studies, she demonstrated particular interest in marketing-related subjects, which deepened her understanding of promotional strategies, consumer behavior, and the role of social media in contemporary management. She applies the acquired skills in her creative and design work, especially in the promotion of reading culture and the development of her own brand.

She also participated in scientific and developmental initiatives, including the conference “Development in Business, Finance and Management” and a conference devoted to the contemporary economy from both national and regional perspectives. In addition, she was engaged in social initiatives, organizing a charitable fundraising event as part of the Sweet Café campaign in support of OTOZ Animals. During her professional internships, she developed organizational and administrative competencies, including customer service, order fulfillment, and documentation management.
