The admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year at the University of Zielona Góra has concluded. This year, 1,931 candidates out of a total of 7,535 registered applicants have been admitted to the University’s student list. The total enrolment limit for this year is 2,840 places.
As in previous years, the most popular choice was the Medicine programme, with 26 applicants competing for each available place. Close behind were Physiotherapy (11 candidates per place) and Emergency Medical Services (5). High interest—measured by the number of candidates per place—was also recorded in Nursing, Psychology, Midwifery, Graphic Arts, Sociology, English Philology, and Applied Linguistics.
In terms of the total number of registered applicants, the top three programmes were Medicine (2,367 registrations), Psychology (529), and Nursing (347). Strong interest was also noted in Physiotherapy, English Philology, Law, Social Rehabilitation with Criminology, Computer Science, Emergency Medical Services, and Logistics.
In total, 69 study programmes will be offered by the University of Zielona Góra in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The closure of the first round of admissions does not mark the end of recruitment for the upcoming academic year. For programmes where the enrolment limit has not yet been reached, a second round of admissions will be held from 4 August to 14 September this year (for full-time first- and second-cycle studies).
Admissions will be open for all programmes except those offered by the Faculty of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (WLINoZ) and the Graphic Arts programme. This is because all candidates admitted in the first round to these programmes have confirmed their intention to study at UZ. However, if places become available in these programmes during the second round (e.g., due to withdrawals), the recruitment system will also be reopened for them.
