The University of Zielona Góra has launched its admissions process for the 2026/2027 academic year. Online registration for all degree programmes opened on Monday, 1 June. Applications are being accepted for 83 programmes offered across seven faculties, including 13 programmes delivered in English.
For the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, a total of 4,953 places have been planned, including 2,735 places for full-time undergraduate and long-cycle Master’s programmes and 1,170 places for part-time studies (a total of 3,905 places for secondary school graduates).
“We are aware that the current year and the years ahead will bring a large number of potential university applicants. This is a trend observed throughout Poland. It is related to the increased number of students resulting from demographic changes and changes in the education system, including the transition following the abolition of lower secondary schools.
According to the data available to us, there are approximately 8,000 secondary school graduates in our region – significantly more than in previous years. We hope that all of them will successfully complete their final examinations. We are fully prepared and our doors are open to all candidates. Our educational offer is designed so that everyone can find a programme suited to their interests and ambitions. There are also no age restrictions for applicants,” emphasised Prof. Barbara Literska, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education at the University of Zielona Góra.
The admissions process will be conducted according to the official recruitment schedule for all degree programmes.
For full-time first-cycle programmes and long-cycle Master’s programmes, applications will be accepted until 11 July 2026.
For all part-time programmes, recruitment will continue until 14 September 2026, with the exception of the Medical programme, where applications will close on 31 August 2026.
“Candidates have more than a month to register, choose their preferred programme, and wait for their final secondary school examination results. Certificates will be issued on 8 July. If someone is not admitted during the first round, we are planning a second recruitment round in August. The list of available programmes will not be as extensive, but candidates will still have many opportunities,” explained Agnieszka Łaszczowska, Head of the Admissions Office at the University of Zielona Góra.
Application fees vary depending on the programme. The standard recruitment fee is PLN 85. For programmes that include entrance examinations – including all programmes offered by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Góra – the fee is PLN 150.
