Another Lecture Hall Renovated at the University of Zielona Góra — This Time in Partnership with KAN Sp. z o.o.

The University of Zielona Góra has unveiled another renovated and sponsor-supported teaching space. This time, the refurbishment and equipment of the classroom were made possible thanks to the support of KAN Sp. z o.o. The upgraded facility will serve students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, including those studying Environmental Engineering.

The classroom now features, among other things, educational display boards showcasing piping systems and water supply and central heating networks.

“Thanks to this collaboration, we have a chance to influence young people and their education. In doing so, we contribute to the knowledge and practical skills of future professionals who will soon enter the labor market. It’s an investment in tomorrow’s specialists. Supporting education is crucial—because we know the reality,”says Piotr Stefan from KAN Sp. z o.o.

This is not the first joint initiative between the University of Zielona Góra and KAN Sp. z o.o.

“Our cooperation has been ongoing for several years. Every partnership with local companies brings mutual benefits. A well-trained employee is a valuable asset to any business. An employer aiming for growth must ensure access to top-level talent. The University of Zielona Góra naturally serves as a personnel base. We are very pleased that companies are eager to work with us. They provide our students with opportunities to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills using modern, specialized equipment,”
adds Prof. Wojciech Strzyżewski, PhD, Rector of the University of Zielona Góra.

The renovated and newly equipped classroom now hosts, among other subjects, hydraulics classes.

“We have received materials and devices that will allow students to learn, in a hands-on way, how to connect pipes using press fittings. In my courses, students design installations and then build them in the lab. We're also preparing them for a national competition, where such skills will certainly come in handy,”explains Dr. Marzena Jasiewicz, Eng., from the Institute of Environmental Engineering at UZ.

The KAN-branded teaching room was created in Building A-12, which is part of the Institute of Environmental Engineering at the University of Zielona Góra.
