Collaboration at the academic level. The Rectors of UZ and AJP discussed future plans

The University of Zielona Góra will collaborate with the Jacob of Paradies Academy in Gorzów Wielkopolski. The rectors of both Lubusz-region universities – Prof. Dr. Hab. Wojciech Strzyżewski and Prof. Dr. Hab. Elżbieta Skorupska-Raczyńska – discussed future plans during a meeting held on Thursday, February 6.

One of the key topics of discussion was cooperation in education programs related to improving the quality of life for the region’s residents, particularly in broadly defined medical-related fields. The conversation also covered joint educational and scientific initiatives.
"We addressed an important issue concerning demographic challenges, specifically the declining number of high school graduates and, consequently, the recruitment of new students for both our universities – including candidates from outside the Lubusz Voivodeship," said Prof. Dr. Hab. Wojciech Strzyżewski, Rector of the University of Zielona Góra.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss planned individual investments by both institutions. "These are the only two public universities in the region. Each has its own profile and should develop independently. However, we also see an opportunity for collaboration, which we will certainly continue to expand," said Prof. Dr. Hab. Elżbieta Skorupska-Raczyńska, Rector of AJP.
