On March 19, 2024, the Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Economy of the University of Zielona Góra, Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, held a meeting with the rector of the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Germany), Prof. Jean Meyer, at the latter's university. Also present at the meeting were: from the University of Zielona Góra: Prof. Sławomir Kłos - the delegate of the rector for the quality of scientific research, and from the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Prof. Achim Förster - Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Didactics, Prof. Rainer Wehner - head of international studies, Prof. Artur R. Fabisch - head of MBA and Eastern Europe studies.
During the meeting, further possibilities to expand and strengthen international cooperation between the two universities were discussed. For over 30 years, both sides have been involved in joint activities with students and have carried out international projects, also involving universities from Finland, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Romania. During the meeting, the will to sign an agreement on continuing cooperation between the University of Zielona Góra and the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt, as well as inviting the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Czech Republic) to join, was declared.
