The implementation of the project “Together We Are Stronger 2.0! Cross-Border Civic Participation in the Polish–German Border Region” has commenced. One of the project partners is the University of Zielona Góra. The ceremonial signing of the partnership agreement took place on Tuesday, 20 January, at the headquarters of the Euroregion in Guben. The University of Zielona Góra was represented at the meeting by Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation.
The project constitutes a continuation of activities carried out in the years 2022–2025, which included the implementation of a cross-border civic participation process. As part of these efforts, a Polish–German Citizens’ Council was also established. In the period 2026–2027, the participatory procedure will be further developed in substantive terms, alongside measures aimed at its consolidation and organisational standardisation. In addition, four further Polish–German Citizens’ Dialogues are planned.
