On 10 December 2025, a plenary meeting of the Production Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) was held in the Senate Hall of the Rector’s Office of the University of Zielona Góra.
Members from the University of Zielona Góra include Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, DSc Eng., Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, and Prof. Sebastian Saniuk, DSc Eng., Director of the Institute of Management and Quality Sciences. The meeting was opened by the Rector of the University of Zielona Góra, Prof. Wojciech Strzyżewski, DSc, and the Chair of the PAS Production Engineering Committee, Prof. Sebastian Skoczypiec, DSc Eng. from the Cracow University of Technology. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, DSc Eng., as a guest.
The discussions focused on current challenges and directions for the development of production engineering. As explained by Prof. J. Patalas-Maliszewska: “Cooperation between scientists and enterprises is crucial. We meet to talk and build relationships. We want the solutions we develop in our research to be implemented in companies. We strive to develop joint projects.”
The meeting was attended by over 30 members of the PAS Production Engineering Committee, representing the most important academic centers in Poland.
