Students Michalina Gryglewska, Karolina Dwornicka, Hanna Potoczniak, Maja Sałacińska, Wiktoria Eljaszuk-Konieczko, and Krystian Hajduk from the Nursing and Medical Programs at the University of Zielona Góra participated in May in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Erasmus+ in Alba Iulia, Romania (Universitatea "1 Decembrie 1918" din Alba Iulia).
The BIP was organized under the theme "Enhancing the quality of life: impact of science, education and physical games in individuals." The week was filled with integration activities, lectures, physical exercises, and cultural exploration. On the first day, participants collaborated in international groups, presented traditional childhood games, toured the city, and enjoyed local music.
The following day, students took part in a pentathlon with high school students, which included activities such as archery, tug-of-war, and weighted running. In the afternoon, lectures were held on healthy lifestyles and physical activity.
The subsequent days focused on topics such as human physiology, active breaks, active aging, and brain function. Students also visited a local center for children, where they co-organized various attractions for the young participants.
The program concluded with an international debate, during which students discussed various randomly selected health-related topics. As the participants emphasized, the trip was not only an opportunity to gain knowledge but above all to learn cooperation, creativity, and openness to new experiences.
