EUniverCities is a European network established in 2012. Within its framework, medium-sized cities and universities collaborate to enhance their visibility across Europe. The network aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and the sharing of expertise in the field of cooperation between cities and universities throughout Europe. The primary benefits for members include mutual learning, the development of collaborative relationships, the formulation of shared objectives, and the dissemination of knowledge and ideas.
The network draws inspiration from the EU 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth, placing strong emphasis on knowledge, innovation, and technology. The current ambitions, objectives, and conditions of cooperation among partners are defined in the Network Strategy for the years 2023–2025.
