Another International Agreement Signed: The University of Zielona Góra Partners with the University of Alicante.
The University of Zielona Góra has officially signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Alicante. The establishment of this bilateral partnership marks an important step in the development of international relations. The collaboration will focus on joint research projects and the future development of academic cooperation. This is yet another milestone in building an international network of partnerships, opening new opportunities for both students and researchers at the two institutions.
Representing the University of Zielona Góra during the visit to Alicante were Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, and Chancellor Katarzyna Łasińska. The Spanish side was represented by Prof. Rosa Mª Martínez Espinosa, Vice President for International Relations and Development Cooperation. The multi-day delegation also included Dr. Paweł Truszkiewicz, Head of the International Cooperation Office at UZ, and Julia Kowalczykiewicz from the Welcome Center.
During the meetings at the University of Alicante, particular emphasis was placed on promoting the University of Zielona Góra as a dynamically developing institution offering a wide range of academic programs and international cooperation opportunities. Details of the Erasmus+ program were presented, including student and staff exchange options. Flexibility in adapting study programs to partner needs and the administrative support provided by the Welcome Center were also highlighted.
The delegation showcased study programs available at the University of Zielona Góra — with special attention given to those likely to interest international students, such as biology, physics, mathematics, English philology, sports, and tourism. The innovative nature of the curricula and their alignment with international standards were also emphasized. In addition, potential areas for collaboration in joint research projects were discussed.
