The University of Zielona Góra is set to collaborate with the Technical University of Liberec. The agreement was signed on Wednesday, 19 August, during a one-day visit by representatives of our university administration and the Marshal’s Office of the Lubuskie Voivodeship to the Liberec Region – a partner region in the Czech Republic.
The Polish-Czech partnership will be grounded in academic and scientific research initiatives. Key plans include student, academic staff, and administrative exchanges. This aims not only to enable participants to acquire new knowledge and skills, but also to foster a deeper understanding of the culture of the partner region.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Eng. Katarzyna Łasińska, Chancellor of the University of Zielona Góra; Sebastian Ciemnoczołowski, Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship; Martin Půta, President of the Liberec Region; and Prof. Aleš Kocourek, Rector of the Technical University of Liberec.
Wednesday's visit also provided an opportunity to tour the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation at the Technical University of Liberec.
