The latest World University Rankings are now available. Once again, the University of Zielona Góra has been ranked among the best universities in the world!
This year, we obtained the 1768th place in the Global 2000 list, placing us in the prestigious group of the top 8.5% of universities in the world. In Europe, we ranked 580th. On a national scale, we were ranked 33rd. In terms of academic degrees, we obtained the 1698th place, with an overall score of 66.9.
This year's ranking included 20,966 academic institutions from around the world. 41 Polish universities made it onto the Global 2000 list. The ranking was published on May 13th of this year.
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) is a consulting organization that provides policy advice, strategic insights, and advisory services to governments and universities to improve educational and research outcomes. CWUR publishes credible global university rankings known for their objectivity, transparency, and the trust of the evaluated universities. The individual CWUR rankings are available on cwur.org.
The CWUR ranking uses seven indicators grouped into four thematic areas:
Education: based on the academic success of the university's graduates measured by the size of the university (25%),
Employment: based on the professional success of the university's graduates measured by the size of the university (25%),
Faculty: measured by the number of faculty members who have received the highest academic distinctions (10%),
Research:
Research output: measured by the total number of scientific articles (10%), High-quality publications: measured by the number of scientific articles appearing in top journals (10%), Influence: measured by the number of scientific articles appearing in high-impact journals (10%), Citations: measured by the number of most cited scientific articles (10%).
