The City of Zielona Góra is supporting the development of the Collegium Medicum at the University of Zielona Góra. The city authorities have pledged to provide the university with over two million PLN. These funds will be used to secure the university’s own contribution to a project involving the reconstruction and equipment of the Collegium Medicum. The project is scheduled to be implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) during the years 2025–2026. The financial support from the City of Zielona Góra will help the university cover VAT costs, which are non-eligible expenses under the KPO framework.
The city’s decision stems from a Cooperation Agreement signed on December 11, 2024, between the City of Zielona Góra and the University of Zielona Góra. In the agreement, the Mayor emphasizes the strategic importance of developing the infrastructure of the Collegium Medicum and the need to improve the quality of life for the city’s residents.
The support will be provided in accordance with the rules applicable to publicly co-financed projects. The form and timing of the fund transfer will depend on the conditions and timeline outlined in the funding agreement, which is tentatively scheduled for signing on August 5 this year.
