Strengthening cooperation within the framework of the European University Alliance EUNICE and the implementation of joint research initiatives were the main themes of a meeting held on Friday, 23 January, at the Rector’s Office of the University of Zielona Góra. The University welcomed a delegation from Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg (BTU), Germany.

The Polish–German discussions focused on identifying areas of potential academic and research cooperation. The agenda also included deliberations on student exchange programmes and initiatives aimed at retaining graduates in the region by more closely aligning academic education with the needs of the regional labour market and the innovation sector. Furthermore, the participants addressed opportunities for the joint preparation and implementation of projects, including euroregional initiatives oriented towards the development of cross-border cooperation.
As emphasised by the participants, the Friday meeting constituted another important step towards the further development of cooperation between the University of Zielona Góra and BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg. It also confirmed a shared commitment to deepening collaboration in the areas of research, education, and internationalisation.
