From June 25 to 27 this year, representatives of the University of Zielona Góra took part in the 5th International Conference on Intelligent Systems in Production Engineering and Maintenance (ISPEM 2025). The event, held at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, gathered over 200 participants from Poland and abroad. Among the numerous experts were researchers, engineers, PhD students, and industry representatives. The attendees discussed topics such as automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, and the future of technology.
One of the highlights of the event was the International Scientific Debate titled “The Rise of AI in Manufacturing Industry.” During this session, experts from around the world critically examined the impact of artificial intelligence on manufacturing, innovation, productivity, and workforce transformation. Ethical concerns and challenges related to AI integration in industrial environments were also addressed. Among the debate participants was Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, DSc, Eng., Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation at the University of Zielona Góra. The invited speakers included Prof. M. Anthony Xavior, a recognized authority from the Vellore Institute of Technology in India.
The conference also featured thematic sessions led by international industry leaders and presentations of innovative solutions by technology companies. Participants had the opportunity to tour the research laboratories of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. As emphasized by the attendees of the 5th ISPEM Conference, the event served as an excellent platform for strengthening international cooperation.
