For the eleventh time, U.S. News & World Report has published its annual ranking of the world’s best universities. The overall ranking includes 2,250 leading institutions from 105 countries. In the 2025–2026 classification, the University of Zielona Góra is ranked 13th among the Best Universities in Poland, 444th among the Best Universities in Europe, and 1,291st in the Global Best Universities ranking.
The national ranking includes 45 institutions. Among them, Jagiellonian University ranks the highest. Other top Polish universities include the University of Warsaw and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. Universities are evaluated and ranked based on 13 indicators, such as research reputation, number of publications, and international collaboration.
Among the world’s best universities, the leaders include Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Stanford University.
