The Days of Student Culture locally called Bachanalia are an annual celebration of students from Zielona Góra, which takes place at the turn of May and June. The name of such student holiday in Poland may vary from city to city. Ours refers to local wine traditions and Bacchus - the god of wine and symbol of Zielona Gora.
During Bachanalia it is the students who seize power over the city, which happens right after the ceremonial handing over the keys to the city to representatives of the Student Parliament by the mayor of Zielona Gora.
The celebration lasts throughout a week. The number and variety of attractions will provide you with a lot of entertainment and joy. The program includes, among others: the Great Barbecue, energizing concerts, discos, the Dormitory Teams Competition, as well as other contests and games, including sports events.
The period of studies is not just about learning! It is also about creating amazing memories and establishing relationships. Here you will find out about it. Join us and celebrate your status of a UZ student together with the wonderful student community!
