The Academic Media thrive at the University of Zielona Góra. They include: Index Radio, Index TV and a website called www.wzielonej.pl. It is where many famous and talented Polish journalists began their career. Presently, they work in nationwide media.

The academic Index Radio has aired since 1998 and is one of as few as 9 licensed academic radio stations in Poland. The programme is transmitted day and night, but between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. live. One can also listen to it online.

Since 2017, Index has broadcasted also on TV. The journalists work in 2 studios equipped with cameras and a green screen which allows to use a virtual background. Viewers can watch interviews and meetings with guests on the station’s website or on social media. The programme is usually transmitted from the studio, but the team prepares also live productions out of their editorial office.
